Snapecentric – Katt
Hi! The first thing I’ll say is that I’m old. Not 30s old either. Grandma old. Just so you know. I live a few hours away from Chicago, in a smallish town with as many churches as bars. I started reading Philosopher’s Stone to my son ahead of the movie in 2001, and I was instantly hooked. I was interested that Snape hated as well as protected Harry, the dichotomy appealed to me. I was fascinated by that mysterious man, and I’ve been a Snape stan ever since.
I found waiting for the release of the later books excruciating. Not really aware at that time of fandom or fanfic, I mostly read books of speculation about the series. One thing that I really enjoyed while waiting for Deathly Hallows to come out was listening to Snapecast, the original podcast that was all Snape, all the time, from 2006-2009.
I’ve been reading fanfic now for a number of years, but it wasn’t until 2020 that I found tumblr and started to connect with other Snape fans, developing a blog that highlights the art, fic, and meta found there. But I really missed Snapecast, and wished for another podcast to listen to. I finally decided that if I wanted one, I’d have to make it myself, and in early 2021 I started Snape Chat. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of speaking and working with a number of fun and talented people, both as guests and crew. I look forward to many more episodes on all kinds of topics.

Danni (danpuff)
I’m a longtime (and very passionate) Potterhead. The Harry Potter books were released when I was only five years old, and I have been a fan for as long as I can remember. Most importantly, I’ve been a great lover of all things Severus Snape from Day 1!
My OTP always was and always will be Snarry (Harry/Snape). Outside of fanfiction, I enjoy astrology, crystals, puzzles, music, dancing, and – of course – screaming about my passions with friends (or, let’s be honest, anyone who will stand still long enough.)

Megs (greenmegsnoham)
I’ve been a fan of the Harry Potter series since I was gifted books 1 & 2 to read on a family trip! Since then, I read or listened to the books at least once a year, and it has always been a place I found comfort in when life just wasn’t as comforting! I’m now a passionate reader and writer of fanfiction and the creator and co-host of Care of Magical Shippers Podcast.
It was actually through fanfiction that my love of Snape was born! I loved the way his character was explored, in every flavor: good, bad, gray, affectionate, cruel…if it’s Snape, I LOVE IT!! Getting to discuss this complex character with friends brings me SO much joy! We hope it brings you joy too!
